2017-09-30 (Saturday) - The Sea Kayak Race
Wow, what a day! After an early breakfast, well, around 10ish, we decided to take seem fruit and go for our kayak to the furthest beach. Man it was hard! We started off with CB in the single, and Aiysha and Clara with the paddles, but when we got to the first beach we swapped. We had a bit of fruit at the first beach, which was nice. Our challenge was the second beach though. Wow, it was a tough row, and we were all exhausted getting there. It took around 1.5 hours against the current, but well worth it. It was so nice, and absolutely deserted! We found some amazing shells, had our fruit lunch, then played skimmer ball. It was wonderful. We headed home around 2.38 with the current, and got home at 3.28, which was amazing. Aiysha and Daddy felt a bit sea sick, but it was so much fun.
Hermit crab race anyone? Mummy was particularly fond of her big hermit crab!
We washed, and settled down for some tea and cake - chocolate fondant and tarts! Lovely! We mooched around for a while, went to the beach to see the sunset and lightening, then up to dinner for banana curry and caramelised soy beans - lovely! The girls didn’t like it much, so they had some fruit.
Mario, then bed. Aiysha kept winning.
